In the build up to Euro 2021, creative agency Copa90 looked to Fake Empires to collaborate on their latest Sports Direct campaign. ‘Football Starts Here’ unpacked the nuances of the beautiful game to position Sports Direct as the football experts that they are.
Football legend Eric Cantona shows a non-believer the power of the sport; how it connects so many, why it bonds communities and demonstrates why it’s never 'just a game'. The ad also stars a host of pro footballers including Jack Grealish, Jamie Vardy, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson and Melanie Leupolz.
We plugged directly into Copa90, becoming an extension of their creative team. Owning the Art Direction and design for the OOH that ran alongside the TVC.
Working from concept to photoshoot, retouching, design and art direction through to production delivery. The campaign ran nationwide with a generous media spend.
