How an interest of meditation and the discovery of Bitcoin helped build a start-up scented candle range.

Turning spirituality and self-empowerment into a visual world was the brief when asked to help develop the Essatoshi brand. With three core mantras; Truth, Hope and Freedom - words that represent the very essence of Bitcoin. Essatoshi studied natural fragrances, met perfumers and visited candle makers to conceive an aroma for each mantra.

This journey took over a year before settling on Essatoshi's interpretation for each scent. The candles represent the very simplicity and complexity of life from a visual and fragrance perspective, with each candle having its own unique scent and meaning.

Focusing on developing the brand's tone of voice and visual identity alongside this product development was crucial for us, as it allowed our design to continually evolve with each scent and the wider product range. It was a great exercise for Fake Empires creating a cohesive and compelling brand experience within the packaging space. For us it was essential the feel of the glassware complemented each candles scent and poured aesthetic, elevating the overall sensory experience for customer.

Expanding beyond digital marketing, Essatoshi recognised the importance of physical collateral and promotional merchandise to make a lasting impression when interacting with potential stockists and retailers.
We designed various house stationary, print collateral and promotional merchandise such as tote bags and matches to continue driving awareness and growth in the marketplace.

Fake Empires truly exceeded our expectations when it came to creating the identity and brand for Essatoshi. The eye-catching visuals and unique graphics captured the essence of our brand perfectly. We highly recommend Fake Empires to anyone who is looking for a creative company to help bring their vision to life.
